Developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force, iSCSI is an IP based storage networking protocol facilitating SCSI commands to be carried over IP networks. iSCSI can be used to help data transfers over intranets and also to manage storage over wide area networks and great distances. İSCSI is the key catalyst for the development of Storage Area Networks and location independent data storage, retrieval and management.
