Although experts at dealing with waste, Oxigen discovered that a new type of waste was emerging – a waste of time and resources. The amount of spam that Oxigen was receiving had reached a critical point, placing an unnecessary load on email servers, increasing the work load of users having to trawl though unwanted messages and increasing the chances that one spam message might just contain malicious code that compromises the network.
