While many companies from Europe and Turkey applied with different payment systems projects, ITD participated with its “Shared POS Service”, which was announced in December 2004 in Turkey.

Payments Solution that has added to the Development of SEPA
ITD’s Project which was ranked the second at the “Most Innovative & Advanced Vendor Developed Payments Service” category, had been firstly run and used by Garanti Bank and Turkiye Is Bankasi in Turkey.
In order to meet the needs in this area in Turkey, ITD and SBS formed a strategic business partnership. Within the scope of the project, ITD provides software and hardware supporting multiple functions to high security standards (EMV, credit/debit, loyalty etc), while SBS provides all services related to member workplaces (instalment, training, maintenance, distribution of materials, help desk, etc) and where necessary network access services.
The infrastructure of the service is designed so as to support the existing applications and business flows of every financial institution. In addition to this feature, the service has a structure that can support new applications, including security standards that may be adopted by financial institutions. Thus, merchants will be able to continue their transactions with minimum training, and financial institutions having the shared POS service will be able to introduce business flows easily.

The awards were presented to the winners at the award ceremony which was held within PlusCON Conference in Copenhagen on April 26, 2005.
