DataCentre Dynamics, London 2005 aims to assist businesses to meet the management and operational challenges of 24/7 mission critical IT facilities. In a comprehensive conference programme, internationally acknowledged experts will share their insights and best practices to help increase network availability while driving operational efficiencies in the physical layer.
With information security and compliance concerns placing network infrastructure management high on the corporate agenda; data centre operators are facing challenges ranging from the uninterrupted support of critical IT and cooling loads; to the impact of blade servers on power quality; or the requirement to provide chilled water in equipment racks. DataCentre Dynamics, London 2005 aims to offer a platform for delegates to share problems and find solutions by networking with other senior level professionals and to investigate technologies that will be shaping the data centre market in the coming 12-24 months.
Since its inception in 2003, DataCentre Dynamics events have been held in
London, New York, Frankfurt, San Francisco and Hong Kong where they have
successfully brought together the leading mechanical & electrical engineers, facilities executives, IT directors & integrators and industry specific vendors whose responsibilities include the uptime of their essential computing resources. Due to the success of previous events, this year’s London programme has been expanded to two days to include 12 main sessions and 18 solution seminars with a number of interactive ‘think tanks’, forums and health clinics hosted by leading thinkers. With topics ranging from DC power to the latest on cable management; high density(power and cooling) installations, and mission critical monitoring, the schedule aims to help data centre operators improve availability and manage their costs in 2005 and beyond.
Highlights at this year’s event will include keynote addresses from Don
Beaty, chairman of The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) TC9.9 Committee, who will be discussing new
guidelines for Datacom equipment power trends; and Ed Ansett, EYP Mission
Critical Facilities, who will highlight possibilities for DC power
integrated data centres as a viable alternative to the traditional AC
distribution architecture. Attendees will also be able to discuss
best-of-breed practices with leading industry suppliers including American
Power Conversion, Denco Air Conditioning and Eaton.
