Today saw the launch of a refreshingly free mobile Personal Number service, which can be used with a Global SIM card to abolish roaming charges.
The service is available at www.PersonalNumber.com, where users can sign up for a free UK +44 number which can be forwarded to any mobile phone or landline in the UK or US at no cost. Additional countries will be added shortly.
Customers can register online, and instantly be issued their very own Global number. After logging in, free call forwarding can be set up to five numbers, or set to go to voicemail. The call divert can be changed by logging onto the website anywhere in the world. There is zero cost to sign up, no contract, and no fees payable at any time. A free voicemail to email facility is also provided.
When the user travels abroad their personal number can be mapped to a prepaid Global SIM card so that they can receive calls on the SIM card throughout the world. Free incoming calls are offered in over 50 countries, including all of Europe, Australia and parts of the Middle East. Free voicemail retrieval is also available worldwide.
