PR Company Punch Communications has undertaken a tech refresh in recent months, with a roll-out of new lightweight laptops in an effort to maximise team productivity.
With the increased use of social media within campaigns and the resulting requirement to be online as frequently as possible, the technology update has been implemented to facilitate the team’s use of web-based services throughout the day to enhance efficiency.
Having just installed a satellite to increase the speed of its internet connection, Punch is looking to utilise technology to the best of its advantage for business, and with email available on virtually every mobile handset, the team is able to remain connected at all times.
Pete Goold, Managing Director of Punch Communications, commented: “With mobile phones now incorporating web browsers as well as email, the team is now able to stay regularly engaged with PR 2.0 activities.
“The new lightweight laptops are an efficient means of being able to conduct work whilst traveling, be that in a car, on the train, and now on aeroplanes with the wireless function disabled. In terms of the work we do, it is vital that we are available to all of our clients at all times.”
