Çalik Holding, decided to donate an amount of Euro 150 thousand to help the families affected by floods in the north of the country, through its 3 companies operating in Albania, Albtelecom, BKT and Eagle Mobile.
Prompted from the difficult situation created in the areas of Shkodra, Lezha e Shengjin these companies have contributed an amount of Euro 120 thousand in cash and 30 thousand Euros of other assistances and food. The Albtelecom, BKT and Eagle Mobile, part of Calik Holding in Albania, acted promptly and proactively to help the evacuated families and those stuck in their homes. These companies have performed a quite high sensitivity during the active period, since the privatization by Calik Holding.
It is worth mentioning the fact that the companies Albtelecom and Eagle Mobile, which have spread their network in the affected areas, provide their respective services normally. Companies acknowledges that services will continue to be provided with maximum care, in order to assist in the communication area residents, officials and aid institutions that contribute to the solution of the aggravated situation.
The President of Calik Holding for Balkans and Eastern Europe, Mr. Orhan Coskun in a statement has revealed that “Calik Holding cannot stand and watch in such situation where the people are experiencing a natural disaster”.
“We are sensitive to such situations with social consequences. These are the times we should hold together more tightly. I want to emphasize that our active approach in such cases is part of our basic principles of Calik Group. We are close to these families, and hope and wish the situation of heavy flooding to end as soon as possible,” added Coskun.
Also, the General Directors of Albtelecom, BKT and Eagle Mobile, Mr. Mustafa Resit Akdoğan, Mr. Seyhan Pencapligil and Mr. Ali Taşkın have indicated their solidarity with the people in this situation.
Meanwhile, the GSM Company Eagle Mobile in collaboration with Top Channel has announced the SMS number 56666, where each customer can send a SMS costing 100 Lek, and all these contributions will go to the families in affected areas.
