All Fancy Dress, one of the UK’s leading fancy dress retailers, has announced that Captain Jack Sparrow will become a popular choice with fancy dress lovers this year, following the release of Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in May.
The popular saga continues to follow the notorious character Captain Jack Sparrow on his quest to find the elusive fountain of youth. However, in this new instalment he runs into trouble when he finds out that Blackbeard and his daughter are searching for it too.
The first three Pirates of the Caribbean films focused on the characters Will Turner (played by Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (played by Keira Knightly), highlighting their whirlwind relationship and the trials and tribulations that went with it. However, they were left to their own devices at the end of the third film, leaving writers to expand the story behind Captain Jack Sparrow.
This character, made famous by Johnny Depp, has become globally recognised as one of the most whimsical pirates in history, a pirate that relies on his humorous one-liners to flee from danger.
With the fourth instalment set to be a hit at the box office, there are high expectations in relation to the popularity of the officially licensed Jack Sparrow costume. Pirate weaponry accessories are also set to become the big trend for May.
