MORRISTOWN, NJ—March 23, 2011 – Communications Service Providers’ interest in TM Forum’s annual Excellence Awards 2011 has rocketed to an all time high, it was announced today, with a massive 30% increase in participation.
This year’s awards have attracted 48 nominations from leading communications service providers, suppliers and systems integrators from around the world. Now in their 5th year, they are widely regarded as the most sought-after awards of their kind, recognizing global leadership, innovation and excellence, and giving significance to achievements of leading companies within the communications industry.
Winners of this year’s awards will be announced to a high-profile audience of more than 3,500 senior executives from the communications industry at the Forum’s flagship Management World 2011 conference in Dublin, on the morning of Tuesday, May 24, 2011.
This year’s awards include four best practice categories:
- TM Forum Industry Leadership Award – Awarded to the member company demonstrating leadership, dedication and commitment to the Forum’s collaboration activities, and the uptake of TM Forum standards and best practices.
- TM Forum Operational Excellence Award – Awarded to the communications service provider demonstrating the most innovative and effective use of TM Forum Frameworx to deliver tangible cost reduction, efficiency improvement and operational agility.
- TM Forum Solution Excellence Award – Awarded to the supplier or system integrator demonstrating the most innovative and effective use of TM Forum Frameworx to deliver tangible cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- TM Forum Business Innovation Award – Awarded to the communications service provider demonstrating the most innovative and successful new service or business model.

An independent panel of highly respected industry experts will review the nominations and narrow them down to reveal the finalists in each category. The finalists will be announced on April 1, 2011.
