Frustrated in his search for creative work and learning from his experiences in a wide variety of short-lived jobs to finally emerging as a fully-fledged Web Entrepreneur, Morgan Feeney hopes to use the story of his journey to inspire and show others that if you’re determined enough, anything is possible.
With a natural flair for painting Morgan Feeney’s hopes of pursuing a creative career seemed to be thwarted at every turn. Disastrous spells on Fine Art and Illustration courses at Cardiff and Preston Universities left a demoralised young Morgan Feeney at odds with a job market that had little opportunities for artistic or creative people with limited computer skills.
A long period of having to take whatever job came along seemed to take Morgan further from his creative dreams as he worked in telesales, a photo studio, as a salesman, and the building trade to name but a few stepping stones along the way.
Finally a night school course at Preston College and a chance opportunity working at a Web Design Company in Lancaster saw Morgan meet his future business partner, meet his future wife, and after losing his passion for painting, gain the desire and the skills to go it alone as a Web Designer.
For many people in today’s job market and particularly in the current economic downturn Morgan’s zigzag, emergent journey from one short-lived job vacancy to another with periods in the wilderness is likely to be all to too familiar.
Now as a Salford based self-employed Web Designer/Internet Marketeer growing
2 businesses, despite an economic downturn Morgan quite simply has a message of hope for other people searching for a job or career where they can best use their particular passion and skills.
“I didn’t do well at school, didn’t fit in and was never really a sporty person, the only thing I had going for me was my creativity. After thinking that I would have to give up on my dreams of working in any kind of creative field, here I am designing and creating websites. My messages to anybody else in the same situation that I was in for so long are:
1. Never give up on your dreams
2. You can achieve anything you want and you can create your own luck, even in the face of adversity.
3. Determination and perseverance can pay off 4. I am out there working for myself, growing 2 businesses, despite the economic downturn – it may be hard but you can do it too.”
Now working from personal recommendations through http://www.morganfeeney.com/ Morgan is able to offer businesses truly creative web design, print design, WordPress CMS, hand coded sites in pure HTML if required, RWD, Magento, ecommerce, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) hosting, domains and more.
