BridgeHead and StorageTek tested the integration – driven by ACSLS ManagerT V7.1 software – at the StorageTek Europe test laboratory in Toulouse, France, after their mutual customer GISA, of Halle (Saxony-Anhalt), Germany, announced plans to purchase the SL8500 for its facility. GISA has been a HyperTape/StorageTek customer for many years, and the integration was a critical factor in the decision to upgrade to the new SL8500.
“We did our research before we initially purchased the BridgeHead/StorageTek storage solution, and it is crucial that both companies continue to provide an integrated solution,” said Jens Gillmeister, system manager for backup and recovery at GISA GmbH. “We are pleased that BridgeHead’s talented development team continues to provide us with the most robust features and performance advantages coupled with the leading edge StorageTek solutions,” continued Gillmeister. GISA plans to install the new SL8500 fully integrated with HyperTape.
