The first MEFTEC (Middle East Financial Technology Exhibition and Conference) was a truly international event, attended by over 1000 delegates, including diplomats, businessmen, bankers and leading corporate-sector figures. UK based Datawatch Europe were pleased to
receive a personal visit from the British Ambassador of Bahrain, Robin Lamb to their stand.
Bahrain is the banking hub of the region. In the opening address given by Shaikh Ahmed, the revolutionary changes taking place in the banking and financial sector were outlined. He said “A major problem facing most of us is – we depend more and more on technology, that the efficiencies of those technologies is correspondingly dependent on how effectively those
different systems can talk to each other”.
