DUBLIN 21 November 2011 – INTERXION HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), the European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced an agreement with Hibernia Atlantic to host a Point of Presence (POP) for its high-capacity fibre optic cable system at Interxion’s Dublin 2 (DUB2) data centre.
Hibernia’s presence will leverage Interxion’s high-specification infrastructure and diverse customer communities within its financial, digital and cloud hubs. The new high capacity link offers the only direct, submarine cable to connect North America to Ireland, delivering competitive advantage to Interxion’s customers. The new Hibernia Atlantic link into DUB2 specifically caters to North American corporations in Ireland and foreign investment organisations that require the fastest routes into and throughout Ireland. In addition, it delivers further network diversity and business opportunity to all who colocate with Interxion at DUB2 and to all who can access the Hibernia transatlantic network.
