Under the terms of the MoU, Nokia Siemens Networks aims to support the growth of Russia’s technical education, research and development (R&D), venture capital and infrastructure while promoting the foundation’s development globally.
The focus of the Skolkovo Innograd will be on areas including telecommunications, information technology, energy, biomedical research and nuclear technology for civil use. Nokia Siemens Networks expects to establish specific activities as part of the Skolkovo Innograd in 2011.
About Skolkovo Foundation
A “Foundation for Development of the Center of Research and Commercialization of New Technologies” (Skolkovo Foundation) was officially registered in May, 2010. It is a non-profit organization purposed to provide socially useful results in the development of innovations.
