CebIT Bilisim (in translation: Information) Eurasia’s Media Meeting, hosted by Miniaturk for the first time, held on 30st June 2003. During the meeting Jörg Schomburg, Chairperson of Dünya CeBIT and HIF AS, emphasized the developments taking place on world’s information market whereas Erdem Özel, General Manager of HIF AS, explained “what is new” in Turkish ICT Market and the CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia.
Being the Eurasian ring of World CeBIT chain, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia prepares to host 55.000 visitors from small and middle scaled businesses, this year. Noting that they provide a golden opportunity to attendants for improving their business and heat up the market, Özel said, almost 45.000 businesspersons from more then 55 countries and Anatolia, will attend CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia. With this attitude, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia has the specialty of being “a Significant Door to Eurasia” for the economies of the countries of the world and those in the large geography covered by its reflection area.
With 900 attendant companies from many countries, such as China, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and USA and 160.000 visitor from more than 50 countries, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia, is going to host a global meeting, in fact.
This year, government will share its electronic transformation projects with masses again, in “e-state thematic section”, at the largest technology platform of Eurasia. With its four different thematic sections and forums where knowledge will be shared, such as Gelecek Parki (in translation: Future Park), making the knowledge and the commercial outlook for technological production meet in the same platform by allowing the University-Industry convergence, and Türkiye’den Küreye (Made in Turkey), where products and value added services generated in turkey shall meet foreigner investors in order to make turkey one of the countries producing technology within following five years; and e-municipality, developing the concept of e-administration and exhibiting the projects and practices which provide citizens to take part in local administrations, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia appears to be toward to lead off the developments to change the agenda of our country and the surrounding countries.
