A group called Cyber-Warrior.org announced that they have ben attacking the Denmark Web Sites regarding the issue since the crisis began.
This group is a well organized hacking portal with 60,000 members and even uses social engineering methods in their attacks.
The cartoon crisis which had started first with a Denmark Paper, then spread all over the world, has been considered a big insult towards Mohammed the Prophet of Islam and there had been thousands of protests and reactions all over the world.
The Hacking Portal, Cyber-Warrior.org said ;
There will be no Denmark Sites up on the net if we continue these attacks !
and added
We have been attacking those web sites who keep publishing the caricatures using the excuse of freedom of speech!
The group names itself as The Cyber-Civil Power and Raiders of Turkey over the Internet and uses other techniques like Social Engineering beside the common hacking methods.
They monitor all of the sites’ terms of policy and acceptable use of police terms and sending abuse letters to their hosting companies. And they get succeeed on some sites. One of these sites’, drawmohammed.com, Google Ad Sense account has been cancelled by the group in this way.
The group uses specially gathered Teams (one of them named VAID) for those sites- over 90 web sites so far, who makes correspondences with the hosting companies and checks over the TOS and AUP of the sites and their hosting companies.
Another group of Team called RAIDERS defaces targeted web sites and lists the very latest defaces at the address, www.cyber-warrior.org and the group is using a pre-made index which can be viewed by clicking www.cyber-warrior.org/Hacked/Denmark.asp
During our interview with the group, we got very clear answers on the subject;
Question : What is your purpose ?
Answer : Internet is a platform which allow users to reach and acknowledge any kind of information whether it is useful or not, sometimes, the information on the net, can be abusive and insulting on some matters which we believe that those can lead some innocent brains might lead to different ideas. We are here to keep the Internet as a more tolerable and supportable platform on information.
Q : How can you describe your group ?
A : Our group can be named as the The Cyber-Civil Power of Turkey over the Internet which both keeps Turkish Official Sites protected and prevent any kind of web publications of sites that are against Turks, Turkish Society, Turkiye, Islam, enemy of Islam, all kinds of Satanic and Pornographic Sites, through our mission which can viewed here (www.cyber-security.org)
This is to say; none of the web-publications or sites ( such as any kind of religious sites or sites belonging to any foreign country ) are considered to be a Cyber-Warrior Team Target unless they violate the rules.
We are not associated with or related to any kind of political sentiments or ideology of any organization, party, association, foundation and body politic including its own users of different ideas and political sentiments. We are just the biggest hacking and security platform in Turkiye with over 60,000 users even we accept memberships only with a bail mechanism that has been developed by the web site itself which has strict rules such as:
Ranking all users according to their wisdom on hacking and their obedience of the rules stated in terms of the forum policy.
Allowing users to participate in TIM missions stated in their hierarchic rules.
Cyber Warrior Forum consists of a bunch of management groups, each has their own sub-rules that should be followed to.

- MESSENGER GROUP : Group of Reporters that monitor all other security & hack portals around the world and informatics and inform forum users about the latest developments and the news.
- AR-GE GROUP: CW’s LAB GROUP, responsible to study and develop any kind of hack tools that can be used in the attacks.
In addition to those stated above, there are some OPERATIONAL TEAMS targeted specially for specific occasions which are gathered for immediate alerts and threats.
Each OPERATIONAL TEAM is briefed with their target by the Administration.”
Q : How do you operate ?
A : Any user of the forum informs the potential target site to the black list that has been used for reports which “Sentence Group” considers all of them and make verdicts about the sites.
If a web publication is decided to be a real target, Sentence Group allow Strategy to form a TEAM on the specified target.
TEAM focuses on the targeted site and attacks it with different ways, using system’s latest vulnerabilities and hacking information or even using Social Engineering.

Q : What is Social Engineering ?
A : Social Engineering is considered to be one of the personal skills that a hacker has to acquire. Since the main purpose is to access the system on hacking, It is a method of using several ways to acknowledge any information regarding the system, using social techniques such as persuading the opposite site on a matter, making him think that what he is doing is legal or right, sometimes pretending someone else, maybe another administrator on the system or a security authrotity who came to check system vulnerabilities.
Q : What is the level of hacking and hackers in Turkiye compared to the other countries in the world ?
A : When compared, we can say that, Turkish Hackers are at a very advanced point on this issue like Russians or Brazilians.
Hacking and cracking is considered to be legal in Russia where even hackers are supported by the government itself.
We can say that, Turkish hackers come right after them. If we consider the practical thinking ability of a Turkish person on solving problems, we can say that each of us is a potential hacker.
What we believe is, it is certain and clear that these cartoons has provoked many groups of people.
People all over the world keep getting thousands of mails including unacceptable images of violence and protests of Muslims.
This crisis pushed by Denmark Paper by using the excuse of freedom of speech, start to depict Muslim World in a different way to the world even if they are right.
