Kemal Unakitan, the Minister of Finance expressed that value of Turk Telekom is planned to be fixed at the end of this month, whereas the Cabinet’s Bill of privatization strategy is planned to be launched by the end of October.
During the press conference held by Kemal Unakitan, the Minister of Finance, to give information regarding privatization works, he indicated the importance of privatization for the administration. Having said
“We put all our political will, to back the program of privatization”,
Minister Unakitan, stated that the reason why prior privatizations were failed to be concluded was the lack of willingness.
Unakitan, the Minister of Finance told that they were planning to finalize the appraising process by the end of September and it is aimed to launch the Cabinet Bill for privatization strategy by the end of October.
Reminding that they composed a new sale strategy for privatization of Turk Telekom and a principle decision by Cabinet, in such direction, was reached in April, Unakitan said
“Works for a block sale with control right for sales of company shares, and IPO will be managed simultaneously and the final sale strategy will be fixed according to the market conditions to occur then.”
