Graduating Industrial Engineering, Haluk Maga had joined Microsoft Turkey as a member of the founder team formed by five people. Running the office of marketing manager in Microsoft Turkey, Maga was appointed as General Manager of Microsoft Saudi Arabia, and in the year 2000 he was assigned as the General Manager of Microsoft Turkey.
In his statement about the office change, Maga said he is very proud of working with Microsoft.
“Before being General Manager in Microsoft Turkey, being the General Manager of Microsoft Saudi Arabia Microsoft for 3 years following the position of Marketing Manager in Microsoft… All they are 10 years I experienced full of unforgettable memories and excitement… I am very proud of being a part of this precious team for ten years. We have succeeded to take the initiate of lots of thing in Turkey by the ecosystem we created.”
he said. Stating he is going to continue his studies of his mission at Microsoft for the rest of his business life Maga said:
“My studies to make our country more competitive, powerful, successful and leading in all areas will continue increasingly in various platforms. As an individual I will endure my service of making computer usage common, and the computer literacy campaign.”
In his statement about his new position Çağlayan Arkan summarized the mission he will undertake at Microsoft by saying
“Turkey has to turn into a information community in order to be ranked with the contemporary world. And it is citizens of Turkey dreaming of a contemporary Turkey, who will provide such conversion. I believe that ‘address’es may change during the regular circle of professional life but a visioner’s ‘faith’ may not. Our marching and efforts to make Turkey a information community will go on with this great ecosystem composed of business partners under the banner of Microsoft Turkey.”
An Experienced Name in Information World
Çağlayan Arkan, who is to succeed Haluk Maga in the relay-race in September has been working as General Manager of Siemens Business Services (SBS). Graduating Middle-East Technical University Industrial Engineering school and having an MBA degree from the same university, Arkan started his business life at Tekofaks in the year 1984. Between the years 1987-1997 he worked as an associate and a manager of Kopiteknik companies Group. Joining SBS in 1997 Çağlayan Arkan took the office of Business Development Manager, International Business Development Expert and General Manager respectively. Born in 1962 Ankara, Çağlayan Arkan is member of TÜBİSAD, TBV and TABA.
